June 19, 2014~
Ever have a day where you were just bored out of your skull? Like you wanted to take your gun and let a bullet rattle around your brain just ‘cause it was the only thing to do at the time? Today was like that.
At least, until tonight. I sat up late ‘cause of my head. I might have already told you this before, but when I was in Africa I got shot in the head. Just grazed, mind you, but it knocked a few more things loose and they aint been the same since.
Wait, have I told you about Africa? Well, I guess I got a minute, not like I got a lot of other crap to tell yah about. Well, after September 11th they sent an invasion force in on like March 20th of 2002. Well in 2006 the US Gov. gets the bright idea of pulling all our boys out of Iraq, and lettin’ them fend for themselves. Some bull about it costing too much and we were losing to many troops over there.
Anyways, we pulled out and left them defenseless, with no government or any of that. So Iran gets a great idea, an’ they step in and help them set up a new government that is being funded by the Iranians, and just happens to be loyal to them too. Iran then gets Iraq, Egypt, Syria, an’ Jordan to all gang up on Israel in a big ol’ attempt to wipe Israel off the map. Israel, bein’ an ally an’ all, sends an SOS to the United Nations, but those jerks in Iran expected that, and tell the UN that if they send any missiles or ships at them then they will nuke the US and some other UN members with some nuclear weapons they dug up somewhere.
So the Un decides to send in invasion forces, and they assign different members to take care of different countries. The United States got the short straw and was told to neutralize Egypt. By that time me and Josh had both joined the Marine Recon, and we got sent into Egypt on like April 14th of ’06.
Yeah, so I got shot trying to defend Cairo from angry Arabs, and my head aint been the same since.
Anyways, I was up all night, an’ about 2:00 AM Josh woke up, mad as Hell, with another nightmare. He gets them every once in a while. He relives the day his family was killed an’ tries to save them, but he always gets there to late. Then he can’t sleep the rest of the night.
So we sat up a bit, talked about beer, women, pain, deep stuff. Then he got a call from the big house that they thought someone was sneaking around the grounds. So me an’ Josh went to check it out.
Josh took one look at the security camera playback and headed out. He told everyone to stay there, and that one Agent Lucy almost didn’t listen. But I set her straight and saved her from getting her head bit off by Josh.
I still don’t know who or what he saw out there, but I think it was Scarlet. Either her or Wraith, but I don’t think Wraith would come all the way out here when the Board is located in NY.
